In order to become proficient with your knife, training is paramount. Training with a live blade can be extremely dangerous so we encourage the use of training blades.
We are able to make training blades for most of our models. They are made from the same steel as the regular blade, thus enhancing the realism.
The blade portion itself is 1/2" shorter than the live blade which encourages deeper and more accurate penetration when utilizing the actual live blade. THERE ARE NO BEVELS OR JIMPING ON THE TRAINING BLADES. This is done in order to keep the cost of the trainer lower.
These trainers are NOT HEAT TREATED and may have some minor surface imperfections such as pitting that is natural to the the state of the steel when it arrives from our supplier. In order to keep the cost of the trainers down, we eliminate some of the surface treatment steps we use for the live blades.

I recently purchased a Karambite 2.0 and it is absolutely awesome. I requested a certain custom grid to the belly of the blade and it turned out great. I have similar knife by other manufacturers at double the price of Armis and I'll recomend the Armis over to more expensive brand. I also believe the Armis blade is more sturdy as some of the simple task Ive used it for it performs amazingly, unlike the more expensive as I stopped using because I thought I my snap the blade with a very minor pry on wood. I will carry my Armis before the others!!! I have since bought the trainer Karambite 2.0.
