Our designs were developed after nearly two decades of utilizing knives and tools in real world scenarios.


Although our background is in life saving environments, a passion for the tactical world has blended with our experiences to make knives that are practical, functional, and ergonomically sound. Hello Armis family!!! We want to inform all of our amazing customers with an update on our business and order processing times. Our small, family run business has been inundated with orders since a video on our Universal Paring Knife Sheath went semi "viral" at the beginning of 2025! Our team is a literal family consisting of myself (Michael) and my incredible wife Jaclyn who runs the business side of things. Every product that we sell is made by hand in our small shop and NOTHING is made by overseas manufacturers. This is why we have longer lead times than other big companies who are able to manufacture products in mass. If you are not aware, this company was founded after I was injured on the job as a career firefighter in 2020. This injury eventually led to a medical retirement in 2022 after a 14 year career. This company has now become a major source of income for our family which is why we are so incredibly grateful for the growth and support we have recently received from all of you!! INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: International orders are a new challenge to our small business. If you are an international customer, we are doing our best to make sure you not only receive your order, but also receive the best shipping rate possible. The Knife Maker

Armis Knife and Tool Co was born much like the making of a knife. Forged by fire, shaped, refined and transformed into something unrecognizable from it's original state: stronger & more capable than before. Mike Grasso was a professional firefighter for 14 years before medical retirement. Now he makes knives.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where are ARMIS knives made?

By hand in our small shop in Northwest Connecticut. Nothing is made overseas. ARMIS is a family business run by Michael, a medically retired firefighter, and his wife Jaclyn.


How long does it take to get a custom knife?

Every knife and sheath is made to order. Knives take about 10 to 14 weeks, depending on how many orders we have. Sheaths and other quick-ship items ship in 2 to 4 weeks or less.


What steel do you use?

Most of our knives are AEB-L stainless steel, and some models are also offered in Nitro-V. Each product page lists its steel.


Do your knives come with a sheath?

Most of our knives come with a Kydex sheath and belt clip. A few, like the 6" Camp/Chef Knife, offer the sheath as an add-on, so check the product page.


Do you ship internationally?

Yes. If we can find a cheaper shipping rate than what you paid at checkout, we refund the difference.
